After transcription, the strand of mRNA leaves the nucleus and attaches to a ribosome on the rough ER. Here, various enzymes modify the newly translated protein. Then, from here, a vesical containing the protein moves to the golgi apparatus where it can be modified once again. Then, a vestical from the golgi is secreted from the cell.
