A youth football coach tells your son and his fellow teammates that if they want to play football they will have to make sacrifices, learn to play with pain and ignore injuries, and generally "pay the price" to be an athlete. You want your son to conform to the norms of sport, but you realize that overconformity to norms could lead to serious trouble. How might overconformity become a problem for your son and what would you tell your son about following the coach's advice?

Answer #1

Ans- We all know that we should abide by the rules and follow the set norms where and what we work. But we also know that excess of anything always harm.

Here in such case over conformity may become problem for my son in the following way:

• There can be permanent injury, which may not be good for his carrier ahead. As, we can see case of Michael Schumacher.

• Over conformity may hinder his education, which is imperative for every people. As this type of athletes don't give least required time for study and this results into their half growth.

• As per norms there are certain and specific dose of food necessary for athletes, but due to extra performance athletes over conform this and this poses eating disorder.

I will convince my son as to follow set standards and norms but in specified limit. I will say give some time for other like education, family etc. So that there can be overall growth of a sports person.
