Answer #1

Truman's Cold War Strategy was to counter Soviet geopolitical expansion during the Cold War. He introduced the Truman Doctrine in order to provide aid to the countries of Greece and Turkey, a bid to keep away the communist aggression against them. He helped to thwart the spread of communism into European countries who were weak or could have been easily come under the influence of the Soviet Union while pursuing the policy of containment.
