Respond to the following: In the real world, you use databases every day: when you shop online, stream television, watch sports, save photos to your phone, use social media, and perform many other ordinary tasks. Pick one of these examples (or one of your own, if you prefer), and address the following:

 How could this service’s use of databases be improved upon, in your opinion?

 How do you think this database may be structured, and what changes could be made to make it better (think in terms of speed, web service versus direct access, security settings, reliability, and accuracy)?

Answer #1

Lets get to the case of a banking firm where data of customer accounts are saved and secured.

Here we can use database of customers to avoid multiple accounts by the same customer. Also we can easily detect fradulent customers who use random phone numbers/emails/social security numbers. so, by maintaining and using a huge database increases reliability and accuracy in data of customers.

So, these kind of databases are huge and need faster access to work on. generally these are maintained in multiple servers from different online storages available for better availability, security and continuos flow. There are many paid storages available online to maintain these databases like AWS, IBM, Google ... so on. since these are paid they are highly reliable and easily accessible and easier to setup as well.
