In normal phase TLC, will benzoic acid or acetophenone have a higher Rf value? Please explain why your chosen compound has the highest Rf.

Acetophenone has Highest Rf value , because it is less polar compound, while benzoicacid is most polar compound.

For polar compounds has lower Rf values, for non polar compounds has Highest Rf values.

Rf = distance traveled by compound/ distance traveled by solvent

For polar compound travel very slowly, for non polar compounds move very fastly in TLC plate.
