The four parts of the endomembrane system are :-
The components of the endomembrane system together lead to production of the proteins and send to its destination. The group of organelles is very important for the production of protein or polypeptide and it gradually moves from one organ to another. Starting with the nucleus, the mRNA is produced from the DNA through the process of translation in the nucleus. After the mRNA is produced, it is transported to the cytosol and into the endoplasmic reticulum where they are produced by the ribosome on the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The ribosomes are attached on the surface of the endoplasmic reticulum that gives it the rough and studded appearance. The ribosomes after synthesizing the proteins send it into ER lumen which undergoes structural changes and modifications. The modified and folded proteins are secreted from the ER and into the vesicles and are carried to the Golgi apparatus where they are further modified, packaged and sorted for its transport into its respective destination.
