These conflicts involves subjective criticism and independent thinking, independent decision and sharing the thought openly on a particular matter which needs to be considered for the betterment of the team or groups. Group thinking occurs when the team has strong cohesiveness and all the members agree to one thing and they don't allow outsiders to have their opinions. This is not good for the reality because, the team maybe agreeing just because they feel the decision is right and other members have agreed to it. Group think prevent healthy competition and team growth and also block innovativeness. Therefore, constructive conflicts can be helpful to make the team understand how their own thinking and decisions make a difference and how it is important to have independent thoughts and opinions to solve a problem.
