Ans. The position of Clay was most justified in the 1832 Nullification crisis because he helped broker a compromise bill to slowly lower the tariffs over next decade. This compromise bill was accepted by South Carolina and eventually ended the crisis. Hence the solutionist approach of Clay was justified because he focused on finding the solution rather than just going at one side.
