What is the function of the AICPA? What standards to they enforce? How can you become a member? Please also provide information regarding the AICPA's work in promulgating the Code of Professional Ethics.

Solution: AICPA stands for American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. It is a non-profit organisation which runs for individuals passing and clearing as certified public accountant to work and practice under United States regulations. It sets ethical auditing standards for such Accountants and facilitates in smooth running of work in different organizations accordingly. It provides with education, certificate and licence to its qualified members.

A member is joined as a member of AICPA after clearing CPA examination and practicing under enrolled firm and regular revision.

AICPA facilitates in promulgating the code of professional ethics by setting standards to align members with work regulations to build trust, respect confidentiality, and use of fair practices to enhance public interest responsibility.
