Answer #1

The philosopher tries to draw a distinction between two dimensions, the everlasting realm of the Spirit above and the one below the wretched universe . The demise of Christ separates the two realms with conflict. How does this apply to the rites of Israel and to Christ's death and ascension? The author conceives the earthly practices of Israel that constitute the so-called reality of heaven. On the day of the expiation, once a year, a high priest visits the innermost chamber in the tabernacles, where he is assured that the glory of God dwells.
