Answer #1

The company for where I am employed is a high - performance work system. It has the combination of the five elements like organisation structure, work design, employees and team members, rewards and compensation, information technology. The company has well defined tasks and organisational structure suitable to the tasks and people of the organisation. The information technology supports the work and performance. The rewards system is designed to provide compensation and incentives to encourage the team members for giving high performance.

Companies that exemplifies this process are IBM, Amazon Inc., J W Marriott as these companies have the organisational structure designed for high performance supporting with systems and processes like information technology, training, job design, skill improvement, growth and learning opportunities. The employees are rewarded and recognised for their performance and encouraged for work ownership, decision making and engagement for improving their understanding of processes.

For achieving and maintaining that level of high performance, the organisation needs to provide clear goals and objectives, use innovative tools, encourage communication, sharing of ideas and information, creating a system and environment for emphasing the inherent values and identity of their business to guide the employees and support them in giving their performance in better way. I can identify the opportunities suitable for the organisation and growth of business and contribute through sharing information, working in efficient and effective manner, providing feedback for making necessary changes.
