In many team discussions, there is too much talking and not enough listening. Your assignment this week is to test this hypothesis and report your findings. Monitor your interactions this week with friends, family, and colleagues. People are often more interested in delivering a message than in receiving one. This is especially true in meetings where emotions are running high. As you observe interactions with friends, family, and colleagues consider the following: What happens when you have a disagreement with someone in a tense or stressful situation? Why did your voice raise in volume and pitch? Why did your words hasten? Now, tell me what you can do to improve your communication skills, and active listening.

In order to improve communication skills, one can follow the following factors:

1. Be a Good Listener: One should listen effectively rather than only speaking researches have shown that the effective communicators are effective listeners almost 55% of the effective communicators were effective listeners.

2. Be Complete in your message: One of the main problems that ineffective communication happens is because of the incomplete message being flowed from either Sender of the message or the reply being sent by the receiver of the message.

3. Halo Effect: Because of Trust and Distrust issues the communication among people or a group of people, etc gets affected hence there should be trust among the parties involved in the communication.

4. The Clarity: The Message should be clear so that the receiver perceives the message as the sender wants to convey if there is jargon and no clarity is there it will lead to miscommunication.

5. Avoid usage of difficult and uncommon words that would create a jargon or difficulty in conveying the message
