Describe a problem, challenge or a new idea and how you can incorporate that to your organizational leadership courses.
A new idea that I have recently come across revolves around the understanding that while data and analytics are the cornerstones of every business process today, leadership decisions should not be involved with it. The best solutions from a leadership standpoint should always be organic and situational.
Somethings might have worked in the past, but that would not always be the case. We need to be able to change things around, challenge the norms whenever possible, challenge the status quo, to breathe creative air into the organization we work with. We also need to realize that the function of a leader is not the management of human resources. Instead, it has more in common with behavior management than anything else.
Therefore, I think that incorporating out of the box thinking, behavior management aspects as well as being creative and proactive rather than reactive should be our primary goal here. In our course for organizational leadership, we can incorporate these elements by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. What I mean by that is working with companies as a consultant, a trainee, involving ourselves more in group assignments, taking charge, being unafraid of changes can all lead towards a more productive outcome for us in our future endeavors.
