How did a genome evolve over time? Describe some of the common mechanisms by which genome evolution occurs (consider how individual species evolve new traits and how speciation itself occurs over time) What mechanisms have had the greatest impact?
It can be understood by Hardy Weinberg Principle, according to which allele frequencies remain constant. Any change in them leads to evolution.
Factors that affect the principle are:- gene migration or gene flow, genetic drift, mutation, genetic recombination and natural selection.
Gene migration - When a population moves to a new place and new population is produced from them, frequencies in new as well as old population changes leading to evolution. New genes are added in new population and removed from old. If this happens multiple times, it is called gene flow.
Genetic drift - If the above mechanism happens by chance, it is called genetic drift.
Mutations - These are constantly happening in ones genome. It can lead to either negative effect, positive effect or no effect at all. But it still results in changes to genome.
Genetic recombination
Natural selection - leads to selection of traits favorable to survival of species.
Other factors include - transposable elements, pseudogenes, exon shuffling.
Most common of these all are genetic recombination, mutations, and natural selection.
When the change in allelic frequency is so different, that it leads to generation of entirely different population or species, selected by natural selection process. It is called speciation.
Large sized mutations and genetic recombinations have greatest impact over evolution.

If the genetic code did evolve over time, when would this have appeared to have happened, and what observations demonstrate that the genetic code was subject to natural selection sometime in the past ("frozen adaptation" as opposed "frozen accident")? What evidence can support either viewpoint?
Describe how Six Sigma first developed and evolved over time. When did it enter the health care field and what has the impact been since then? response in 200 words
help 4.) Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection stated that: a.) At one time the earth held all the species and each catastrophic event would destroy certain species - survivors would repopulate the world b.) Environmental pressures and internal needs bring about changes in body form and function and this is passed on to their offspring c.) Process in which individuals with favorable inherited traits are more likely to survive and reproduce at a higher rate than other individuals 5.) Convergent...
HELP ASAP!! Based on the video and what you know about natural selection, which of the following must be true if evolution is the explanation for what the Grants have observed over time on Daphne? Select all that apply. Beak depth and length must be heritable. Beak depth and length must affect survival and/or reproduction of birds. The beaks of individual birds can change depending on what food is available. Over time, individuals can evolve to better fit the environment...
Describe some control problems that might arise and some mechanisms that Mary could use to help control these problems AIP 5.7 Identifying Control Issues LO 3,9 Mary Sweet has just opened a candy shop. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, which means that Mary must work a minimum of 10 hours a day for seven days a week. In addition to sales, she also must spend time on purchasing, paying bills, and cleaning up....
Describe how the role of advanced registered nurse transformed over time. Consider shifts in scope and expectations in the 20th and 21st centuries. In what ways will the advanced registered nurse role and responsibilities continue to evolve and emerge as the American health care system changes?
