The first thing that comes to mind when I think about money are the currency notes if different denominations because this is what money has meant since birth. But recently, due to the advent of various digital methods and platforms- digital wallets, plastic money (debit and credit cards), even a smartphone comes to mind when I think about money.
In other words, money to me means any mode that I can use in exchange of services or goods that I want. It is as simple as that,
Now if I am in a situation where I have to sell my stocks to get
something, I will count my stocks as money because
a. They are very liquid
b. I can also borrow money against my stocks
Cigarettes in prison DO NOT count as money now. There has been an official ban on them. But other things like postage stamps and small articles do count as money in prison.
