This is absolutely correct that dead animals can converted into fossil fuels in carbon cycle.In short atmospheric carbon di oxide taken by plants for photosynthesis process then these plants are eaten by animals so then carbon is circulated into the animal' body and Co2 goes into atmosphere through respiration process.when these animals and plants dead, decomposers decompose it and make organic matter that became part of the soil.Energy trapped with in the dead bodies of plant and animal becomes fossil fuels these dead plants and animal died and buried under water and dirt for long time as it remain for hundreds of millions of year.In the presence of heat and pressure dead material turned into fossil fuels. These fossil fuels used as combustion.On burning fossil fuel (oil ,coal and natural gases)gives CO2 to the atmosphere.
