Sustainable marketing is the sustainable development of the business in such a way that it meets the present without any compromising on the ability of the future generations so that they meet their own needs. In other words, sustainable development is the process of maintaining the productivity with good valued resources so that it does not degrade the system in which the resources exist i.e., environment, economic, social and human capital. Sustainable marketing is the company’s initiative to meet the demand of the present without harming the future generation by preserving the environment , ecological, social and human resources.
It is most relevant in today’s globalized world because it has led to drastic increase of companies across the world. The number of products has also increased tremendously. Technological advancements made it possible. Hence, in the process of meeting the needs of the people, it is pertinent that the companies preserve the environment where the resources exist so that they are not depleted for future generations. Also, it is important for the present generation too for long-term sustainability.
