Analyze Eisner's approach to project selection using business case concepts covered in this chapter. How would this approach be applicable in your field of work?
Eisner as a senior leader always applies exceptional approaches for project selection with the intent of having wonderful ideas to convert into greater business opportunities and at the same time employees should enjoy the work. However Eisner’s approach for project selection seems to be slow with gradual decision making process but it is important for an idea to take time for the incubation process so that the improvements on the idea can be worked upon and other reason is that this mode gives the opportunity to see the truth. Overall, delays sometime offers the reflection from employees that how deeply they follow the idea or believe in the same. If someone believes in the idea, they will make it happen in more effective ways. I agree with the way Eisner works and unconventional approaches make project selection more realistic and workable by the teams. It works well when a project needing large investments and having strategic implication, where team recommendations becomes very important in front of the business decision maker to fund the project.
