Friedman’s views on Globalisation

A – Globalisation Flat, Fast and Deep

  • World became flat as geographical barriers for business, commerce, trade are removed with the effect of globalisation.
  • For an employee flat world provides wide variety of jobs or opportunities or positions to exhibit his talent and skill for better living and earnings
  • For an employer it provides an opportunity to diversify business, to expand business, to enjoy high profitability, investment opportunities, new markets, business sustainability etc.
  • Fast effects to upgrade the skills of an employee , learning becomes the part of job, continuous learning and education, status quo, cultural diversity, technology becomes the major element of personal and professional life
  • Fast effects an employer to speed up business activities and operations, competition, challenging business objectives, sophisticated technologies, market will be widened, capturing global market opportunities
  • Deep is concerned with transformation and penetrating . these are possible through fast technologies and communications. Both employee and employer will be benefited and gained more with the effect of globalisation.

B- Impact in negative way

  • It has great impact over personal and professional life. It increases pressure.
  • It impacts social conditions of developing nations, domestic markets
  • Economic imbalances may take place, under utilisation of domestic sources and funds
  • High level of pressure at work as well as life
  • Huge investments with less sustainability

C- Upcoming Trends

  • Movement of goods freely all over the world
  • Whole globe becomes a single market
  • Intensification process brings changes in social, political, economic patterns of nations.

It is suggestible to some extent. Every nation and state has its own sources, social system, culture, economic system, life style. These should not be effected. These are the roots of any nation. Any growth or development should take place which does not effect the domestic system of any nation. That growth or development is only the sustainable growth and development. If any damage caused to the existing domestic system with the effect of globalisation that becomes a permanent loss to the nation which will have a great impact on future generations.
