a) outer cuticle-- it is the outer layer of an organism that comes in contact with environment. it is secreted by .epidermis. it is made up of chitin and pigments.

in some plants, cuticle is water impervious protective layer covering the leaved and protect the water loss.

b) it includes the breakdown of epoxy substrates and the production of chemical byproducts that also destroy epoxy molecules.

c)large surface area to volume ratio- cell is getting bigger , so volume getter bigger t oo, but in this surface area of cell does not get bigger that quickly

d) metabolic depression- it is an an activity in endotherms. leads to hibernation, slow breathing and heart rate, and low metabolic rate. it occurs mostly in winters.
