Answer #1

Solution:

The tests for carbohydrates are as follows.

Benedict test:

Benedict's test is used for the confirmation of mainly monosachharides and some disacharides

The redish-orange solid confirms the presence of monosachharides (glucose or fructose) having higher concentration of reducing sugar.

Seliwaanoff's.test:

When a monosacharide give blue-green product, then monosacharide is hexoses

A red color within one minute confirms the presence of ketose.

Thus the given carbohydrate will be fructose.
