Most managers use influencing techniques for their benefits. First hand I have seen managers use their position and power to fill supervisor positions with friends rather than the best candidate for the job. I feel as many managers are out for their self and will always take careof their self before worrying about the worker. While there are bad managers, there are the few that put everyone else first and want to see the company succeed and grow to its full potential.To help alleviate this issue, companies could enforce policies that have negative outcomes for individuals that act in such a manner while also rewarding people for good ethical decisions. People tend to base decisions off of positive and negative reinforcements, thus keeping the honest person honest.
