Answer #1

The ESC or End-State-Comfort effect is a biological instinct that helps our body to avoid pain and conserve energy. The ESC is a natural tendency of human beings to avoid uncomfortable posture.

Due to the lack of researches in the area of ESC, we are not able to determine the primary reason behind this instinct but some studies suggest that keeping a comfortable posture is a way to experience pleasure even in tough physical works. According to biological researches, comfortable postures helps us to save energy and give relaxation to the muscles engaged with the specific posture. The comfortable postures vary from person to person and develop at an early age but the gradual decrease of body efficiency changes the posture of comfort ness.

For example, the comfortable postures during childhood completely different from old age because the muscles at this age more than old age, the variation in body postures suggests us that ESC is a bio-psychological condition that helps us to save energy, reduce the probability of tiredness and muscles trauma.
