Evaluate Invitrogen’s CEO, Greg Lucier’s leadership. Has he been able to expand the company and maintain growth for the future?

The strategic leadership of Greg Lucier has created tremendous growth for Invitrogen. Lucier’s innovation strategy of acquiring many companies to suit their strategic needs has led the company to increase the net revenue by 25%. The R&D expenses were increased by 53% which indicates that he strongly believes in inventing new products. New technologies and knowledge are obtained from the acquired companies. Though some of the acquired companies fail to fit the company’s strategy, most of the acquisitions and mergers by Lucier has yielded good results and astonishing success for the company. Lucier is a leader with a vision to grow and expand the company. He is a strategic leader as he investigates, reviews acquiring business and closely observe the acquiring companies. He also formulates integration plans to acquire the companies that he feels would contribute to the success of Invitrogen. His critical thinking capability and long-term strategic plans has made him the company to achieve tremendous growth and maintain it for the future as competitive sustainability.
