1. Cellular respiration is the process by which an organism breakdown glucose to produce energy and it can occur aerobically(with oxygen ) and anaerobically(without oxygen). In animals they occur depending upon the level of oxygen.

During aerobic respiration , glucose reacts with oxygen producing energy in the form of ATP and carbon dioxide and water are produced as byproduct. Some organisms convert energy without the presence of oxygen. They undergo glycolysis, followed by the anaerobic process of fermentation to make ATP. For example , Muscle cells produce ATP when oxygen is  low using lactic acid fermentation. However, it also produce lactic acid which upon accumulation often results in muscle fatigue and pain.

2.Non germinated beans are mentabolically inactive because germination is the reactivation of metabolic machinery of the seeds resulting in emergence of radicle and plumule. Water , oxygen and optimum temperature are required for germination and maintains metabolic and growth rate .

Boiling beans remove water thereby reducing dissolved oxygen and making the beans metabolically inactive.

3. Large amount of ATP(36) is produced in aerobic respiration whereas in anaerobic respiration very small amount of ATP(2 ATP) is produced.

4. Carbon dioxide dissolves in water and slowly react to form a weak acid carbonic acid. This reaction can be assesed by pH indicator on observing color change.
