answer-

Quality is one of the factor which every customers wants in product or service. So we can make sure quality is meeting the standards in a project. this is only be done by Quality assurance. Quality assurance means that product or services in a project are delivered according to quality standards. QA includes management of the quality of raw materials, assemblies, products and components, services related to production, and management, production and inspection processes ( Stebbing, L.,1993).

When quality is assured that products or services are meeting the quality standards then project has potential to be completed under low cost without any delay because if Project manager did not assure the quality of project while project is on going then in the end poor quality would waste all the efforts in a project. for example- Samsung did not inspect the quality of battery in its Samsung galaxy Note 7. This phone caught on fire because of defective battery. A formal U.S. recall was announced on 15 September 2016 .( Sam Byford , 2016 ).

Quality Assurance assures the quality of the product meaning that this process ensures that the product generated from the process is defect free and conforms to all stated customer requirements.( Serena Josh,2017).The QA review is intended to ensure the consistency of product quality.

product verification is the first type of review of QA in which every device produced is tested individually or sample is taken from batch to test to review the quality of devices in a project. this is quite expensive method.

second is quality audit in which a panel of external experts come and review the process and procedures. If they discover any discrepancies, they will recommend corrective action or an enhancement in the process .

third is process checklist in which quality inspector checks all the criteria which are met and leave the criteria which are not met in project.
