Answer #1

Mixed method research is a method of conducting research using both qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research includes videos, interviews etc, whereas quantitative research focuses on numbers and figures derived from experimentation.

Advantage

1. All aspect of research subject is observed hence chances of error is minimized.

2. A detailed and comprehensive result is obtained at the end of the research.

Disadvantage

1. Requires more time for floor planning and thorough conduction as the research complexity is high.

2. In case of any discrepancies, it is more difficult to track backward and to locate the error and resolution.

Ethics involved

The mixed method study is a complex research approach and requires serious attention during its conduction and inference. A minor mistake in the data interpretation in quality or quantity may results a huge waste of time and resources. So it's an important ethic to take utmost care during such research work. Another important ethic is about maintaining privacy of the people/subject.

We can take example of clinical research which involves both qualitative and quantitative study. A small mistake in data interpretation can directly impact on the health and safety of people. At the same time, people involved in clinical research share their private information with the researchers, which obviously a sensitive data. Such information must be dealt with special considerations

When looking at psychological research, it is generally thought that experimental research methods provide the best tool for conducting research. However, some research illustrates that correlational studies and other descriptive methods provide an equally important opportunity for conducting research. After completing this week's readings, discuss the benefits and disadvantages of using an experimental design. In your discussion, be sure to examine how the different research procedures might help to convey results to different audiences. For example, would observational data be...

HTP provides two connections methods: persistent and non-persistent. While there are clear advantages of persistent-HTTP, it is rather unclear whether non-persistent can be of any use. Conduct a small research to find out why these two modes of connections are provided. In specific, you should find out some of the advantages and disadvantages of each of them, hence justifying their concurrent existence.

Would you agree to the statement on random sampling methods. Please explain why. In probability samples “each population element has a known (non-zero) chance of being chosen for the sample.” (StatTrek 2020). Some examples of probability samples are, simple random sampling, stratified sampling, cluster sampling, multistage sampling, and systematic random sampling. Simple random sampling is the population and sample consists of “N” objects, and an example is when people play the lottery. Stratified sampling is based on some type of...
