Delta H Vap(80.10°C) = 393.3 J/g

Delta H Fusion (5.50°C) = 127.4J/g

A 38.30 g sample of liquid benzene is initially at 26.20°C. If the sample is heated at constant pressure ( = 1 atm), kJ of energy are needed to raise the temperature of the sample to 92.70°C.

This process have 3 steps:

  1. Heating the liquid benzene until it reaches the boiling point (H1).
  2. Heating the liquid benzene at boiling point for the phase change (H2).
  3. Heating the gaseous benzene to final temperature (H2).
