Molarity is defined as the concentration of a solution expressed as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution, while Osmolarity is the
concentration of a solution expressed as the total number of solute particles per liter.
Osmolarity is found out for the osmotic solutions.
Molarity cannot be used to describe the isotonicity of the parental as molarity can be able to defined for single solution but when there is osmosis takes place then the concentration is defined in terms of osmolarity which determine the isotonicity of such two osmotic solutions not molar solution. That's why molarity cannot be used to determine the isotonicity of the parental.
