Excess ofLi makes LiCl crystal pink and excess of K  makes KCI crystals lilac. Is this true? How will you account for the abive processes?

Yes. This is an example for metal exceess defect due to anion vacaniees. The colour is due  to the presence of F-center in the crystals.
