*Family -based treatment(FBT)

It is a treatment used for adolescents having eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.

Anorexia nervosa is characterized by low body weight and fear on weight gain.

Bulmia nervosa is accompanied by overeating and loss of control in eating ,it causes increases weight .

It is delivered in outpatient settings and  some partial hospitalization procedures also involved.

Phase one of treatment emphasizes restoration of Physical health.

In this techniques therapist giveresponsibility to parents such as what did children eat, when they eat and what quality they eat.

In second phase of study a family meal given to therapist by the family .

phase 1 continuous till when the children gain Steady weight .

Phase 3 involves review of adolescent development.

* cognitive behaviour therapy(CBT)

CBT is a therapeutic technique and it uses many techniques such as Acceptance commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy.

CBT is used for dietary restriction and concerns for shape and body weight.

It also used in treatment of bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder.

CBT involves two formats, one is  focused treatment and another is broad treatment

CBT applied in self help and self- guided help formats in treatment of binge eating disorder and bulimia nervosa.

*Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT)

It help people to reduce eating disordered thoughts, feelings and symptoms.

ACT is used in treatment of both anorexia nervosa and Bulmia nervosa.

In which patients develop acceptance and commitment to therapist's instructions.

ACT patients receives residential and rehospitalization treatments.

It also helps to reduce eating Pathology.
