Solution:

The unemployment is continuously increasing among the college graduates. This is a serious concern as the unemployment of the capable college graduates is leading to the underemployment of the young talent of the country.

This also calls for the urgent attention of the college and government authorities.
If I am appointed to the board of trustee of our college, then the following steps would be undertaken for alleviating the problem of unemployment of the college graduates.

1. Encouraging entrepreneur skill and talent:

The entrepreneur is an individual which works on an idea of his own. He works towards inventing something new and unique. The entrepreneurs not only manage the businesses but also create employment opportunity for many other in the economy. This is because, the product created by the entrepreneur is new and requires the employment of young talent

2. Strengthening the relationship between the alumna and college graduate:

The ex-college graduates can help in exploring the correct opportunity for the fresh graduates. The ex-graduates are a part of big corporates and some of them have their own businesses. As a college trustee, one can focus in exploring the job opportunity with sizeable companies through the ex-college graduates.
3. Internship program:

The interning opportunities during the summer and winter break can help in finding the permanent job for the freshly graduates. The companies get a fair idea about how the person would work and their caliber during the internship period.

4. Active placement team:

The college placement team will work in exploring the work opportunities with the companies and the companies with which the college graduates had already interned. The recent college graduates should be opportunity about the availability of the work opportunity with which they have interned.

5. Employment skill building:

The college curriculum can be changed as per the requirements of the industry needs. The college curriculum should be made in accordance with the skills and software which are required in the work place.
Thus, as a member to the college trustee the above-mentioned steps would be undertaken.
