Given : Manometer range 100mm of water

Specific gravity of oil to be used= 1.91

Solution:

The specific gravity of given oil is 1.91

So density of oil = 1.91* density of water

the height H=100mm=0.1m , when occupied by oil instead of water the pressure exerted is given by

So this much pressure can be measured using oil instead of water.
