a) A multicore system with shared memory would have a centralized memory to store the information whereas when considering the distributed or clustered system there would be many computers with varied memory system in it.

b) Multiple threads form a process.

A process is an active area in the process. There can be many threads in execution for a process to be handled.

c) When considering the threads on a single core system it is mostly handled using the user mode. There would be separate hardware threads for execution whereas in the multiprocessor or multi-core system there are multiple threads which get executed in parallel with that of the processor or the core of the execution.

d) By context switching and prioritizing the thread execution the OS can handle the threads.
