The codon of mRNA is AUC.

And we know that anticodon are found on tRNA. And tRNA contains Uracil, guanine, adenine and cytosine. It does not contain thymine. There is found complementary base pair between the tRNA's anticodon and mRNA codons.

That's why UAG is found in the tRNA anticodon.
