Calculate the osmolarity of 1 Liter of solution that contains
40mEq of sodium, 20 mEq of potassium, 60 mEq of chlorine and 5% w/v
of dextrose (mol way: 180 non-electrolyte).
My teacher gave me the answer but I didn't understand how they
got it. thank you.

How do I go about making a solution for lab that is supposed to be "2 mmol of MgSO4 in 40 mL of DMF." The formula weight of Magnesium Sulfate is 120.366g. Would the stoich be (120.366g/1mol)*(0.002mol/1L)*(1L/1000mL)*(40mL) = 0.009629g which would result in me putting 0.009629g of MgSO4 in the vial and then adding the 40mL of DMF to it? Will like and comment! Thanks
4. An IV solution contains 0.0175% of Drug z, how much of this IV solution should we infuse, if the patient needs 100 mg of Drug Z? If this solution is infusing at 50 ml/hr, how long will it take take to complete the infusion? Hint: 1mg = 0.001g or ml.
How much anhydrous magnesium sulfate is required to dry a diethyl ether solution after preforming extractions involving water? A) Enough to cover the the tip of your scoopula once. B) 1 g/mL of diethyl ether C) Enough such that some powder remains free flowing in solution with swirling without clumping. D) Anhydrous magnesium sulfate doesn't dry diethyl ether.
Please answer both questions and show all work.
Thank-You!
