Answer #1

Monogamy refers to a man or woman having one partner and this is found in most of the collective cultures where the cultural norm prevents people from marrying many at a time. Polygamy is the practice of having more than one spouse at a time which is found in capitalistic and industrial countries. Polygyny is the practice of a man marrying many women and this is commonly found in the Islamic countries where the religion permits men to have more wives. Polyandry on the other hand refers to a woman marrying many husbands which could be found in some of the tribal societies across the world.
