Mobile phones were first used primarily for making a call and receiving calls purposes. At the beginning; mobile phones were with only basic functions without internet facility on phone. With the advancement of technology, many new features got added on phone and now mobile phones like instant massaging (IM) /chat apps which offer social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and LinkedIn. There are many more such social networking platforms that can be used through mobile phones like Skype, WeChat etc. But now mobile IM/chat apps are widely used for m-commerce purposes beyond that provided by social networks. The Mobile phones also can be used for big data analysis and based on insights gained from analysis of mobile device data, relevant products and services can be delivered to users. It is also can be used of the marketing and advertising of different products and services through mobile phones.
