Since, the mass of dissolved solute (KOH) is 87 grams and the mass of solvent is 600 grams, then the total mass of solution would be 687 grams (600 g + 87 g).

Now, we have to find concentration of solution as a percentage by mass via using the following formula :

Mass percentage (%) = (mass of dissolved solute / total mass of solution) × 100%

= (87 g / 687 g) × 100%

= 0.126 g × 100%
