POSTMODERN RELATIVISM - It is the belief that different things are true for different people or at different times ( an era after a modern one).
In healthcare, spirituality is considered to be a part of a healing process. All healthcare providers brings their patients religious beliefs in contact with people at all levels of treatment from a variety of faiths. For example, a patient can free from their sufferings or pain when he or she attained through the use of wisdom ( Buddhism), morality and meditation. It is true according to them because those are good and moral facts that contributes to greater enlightenment ( reduction of symptoms). But in Christianity, some people refuses treatment and give their faith on God for further improvement on disease conditions. For instance, Anti-Vaccination programs conducted in many places are due to two reasons: 1. religious beliefs and 2. certain drugs can cause autism in children ( belief of people). In most places, these are the main issues related to spiritual beliefs which resulting in an innocent child is placing in danger and potentially receiving a death sentence because their parents are not willing to vaccinate their children. However, ethics are in fact subjective in nature and depends on ethical standards and also follows their moral choices on treatment among diseases.
Ethical Issues:
1. It disrupts the treatment plan on patient.
2. creates difficulty and distress in those suffering from the diseases.
