Schizophrenia:

It is a psychological disease. Patient who suffers with this disease likes to live in their imagination world. They don’t want to live in real world. It frequently occurs in adults. 0.03% to 0.07% is rate of Schizophrenia in population

Symptoms:

• Irrational thoughts
• Hallucinations
• Imaginations
• Irrational speeches because of irrational ideas
• They don’t care about their sensory information , they just care about their imaginative information

Causes:

• Genetic factors
• Frequently occurs in mono zygote and dizygote twins
• Brain develops from fetal stage of zygote to early stage of child. If any problem was occurred in this growth period of brain results schizophrenia.
• Psychological traumas
• Dysfunction in dopamine in brain( Dopamine is a neurotransmitter )

Diagnosis:

• Blood test
• Scanning of the structure of the brain
• Patient must show the symptoms at least 6 months to confirm that was schizophrenia

Treatment:

• Support given by family members and friends
• Psycho Therapy
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Medications to control dopamine
