The major five requirements that will have to be met for complying with the Worker’s Rights Consortium Code of Conduct are as follows –

1. Working Hours and Compensation – A limit on the total working hours per week to not exceed 48 hours and the compensation provides for the basic needs for a family unit of the employee. The concept of overtime compensation is in place.
2. Child and Forced labor – The onboarding of workers is as per a selection mechanism is such so that child labors are not employed and that all labors enjoy a certain right of freedom.
3. Health & Safety – The whole factory is designed to ensure the health and safety of the employees. All infrastructure hazards are mitigated.
4. Non –discrimination – All labors enjoy equal rights and are not discriminated on the basis of caste, race and color.
5. Disclosures – All the disclosures required as per the code shall be made available in the public domain to comply with the code.
