1. How are your emotions impacting your decision-making? Provide specific examples of how your emotions triggered you to make a mistake or to make a good decision?
2. How do you handle situations in which you notice that others are making decisions based on their emotions?
Solution
1.Emotions impact our decision making to a larger extent.
For Example : If we are happy state then we try to see all the things happening around us from a positive / happy kind of perspective.
How we see things depends on the kind of emotion we are then having / facing . So in order to see things as they are i.e.,seeing them logically and reasonably without a kind of presumption / belief / feeling will help us to take right decisions in all the situations
Ex: When I am very angry at a moment, no matter whatever the situation arises then I would not be able to function and take take right decision and I would be filled with anger and negativity and my decisions that I take during that time will be influenced.
So,ones decision making should not be influenced by any emotion (i.e., anger, sad, happy, jealousy, etc.,)
2.When I realize that others are making decisions based on their emotions if they mean to me / colleagues / family / acquaintances , I would ask for a 15 min time with them and chat with them about some other random topics (mostly the topics they are interested / passionate about) and then take them into a positive / happy mood / state. Then I say my opinion about the situation they are facing and the decision that I may take if I was in their situation by giving the logic and reasoning for the same & by giving some examples on how the decisions taken based on emotions went wrong / bad ; and then continue saying that I may be wrong also and that this is just my opinion and that I just gave them a suggestion and that they are the final decision makers and that I believe that they will make the decision according to what they strongly feel as right.
