As a scientist, choose either an adult stem cell population or embryonic stem cells as a model system to develop a technique for growing artificial limbs in culture. Be sure to explain why you chose your particular stem cell and the drawbacks associated with the one that you did not choose for your experiments.
a scientist will use embryonic stem cell because these cells have the capacity to renew themselves indefinitely and divide very quickly. embryonic stem cells are pluripotent and can develop into any cell under controlled conditions. whereas the adult cell has limited capacity to self renew themselves thus giving limited number of cells and will differentiate into organ of origin to which it belongs.
