This question has been bothering me, can you please help?
Describe in detail all of the four factors that contribute to the folding of a polypeptide.
There are five forces that contribute to the folding of polypeptide-
1. HYDROGEN BONDS- the large no. Of weak hydrogen bonds within the polypeptide and between Polypeptides adds up collectively to a very strong force that promotes protein folding and stability.
2. IONIC BONDS AND OTHER POLAR INTERACTIONS- some amino acid chains are positively or negatively charged. Positively charged chains may bind to negatively charged chains via ionic bonds. And uncharged polar side chains bind to ionic amino acid.
3. HYDROPHOBIC EFFECT- some amino acid chains are non polar and they tends to exclude water. As the protein folds hydrophobic amino acids are present in the center minimizing the contact with water.
4. VAN DER WALS FORCES- atoms within molecules have weak attraction for each other if thdy are in optimal distance called van der wals radius and the weak attraction is called van der wals forces.
5. DISULPHIDE BRIDGES- the disulphide bond links the two amino acids together.

please help me with this biochemestry question An experiment was conducted to analyze the favorability of folding for a short polypeptide consisting entirely of alanine. This polypeptide folds favorably into a single, continuous a-helix. If an individual alanine residue in the polypeptide is changed to glycine, Delta G_ren for the folding of the a-helix increases by +1.88 kcal/mol. In which of the two peptides is a-helix assembly more favorable, the alanine-only peptide or the glycine-containing peptide? Briefly explain your answer....

May someone please help me with this question? Please write neatly so I can understand what you are doing. Design an amplifier with a voltage gain of 3500 and the amplifier output resistance has to be approximately 100 ohm. The amplifier should reject common-mode noise. Describe in detail your amplifier circuit design. What are the voltage gains of the individual stages?
Hi, could you please help me with the following question. Explain in as much detail as possible please so I can practice it. Thank you for your help! Suppose that the demand and supply curves for a monthly broadband plan can be represented by: QD= 100 - P Qs =-50 + 2P The current price of these plans in the market is $80 per month. a. Is this market in equilibrium? Would you expect the price to rise or fall?...
Please help me out with this question. it has two parts, work shown in detail is required so i can understand it PartA PART B 5.2.3 You are asked to optimize a cache design for the given references. There are three direct-mapped cache designs possible, all with a total of 8 words of data: CI has 1-word blocks, C2 has 2-word blocks, and C3 has 4-word blocks. In terms of miss rate, which cache design is the best? If the...
