The decision of leaving the position after finding unethical business practices depends on the level of the position. For example, if an individual is on one of the top position of the organization, it would be better not to leave the position. On the other hands, if the individual is in a lower position, he/she may leave the position but it is not appropriate to leave the position. In my opinion, I would not leave the position after finding unethical business practices. I would not leave the position because I can highlight the concern before the management and struggle to improve the business practices. It is my responsibility to maintain the reputation of the organization in the market and hence I would ensure ethical business practices. I would not leave the position in order to improve business practices.
There are several factors on the basis of which I would take the decision of not leaving the position. The first factor is the reputation of the organization. If I would leave the position and the organization continues to involve in unethical practices, the reputation of the organization will spoil. Another factor is the concern for the party who will be affected due to unethical business practices. It is our responsibility to ensure ethical business practices which do not affect anybody or anything negatively. Thus, to safeguard the concerned party from the unethical business practices, I would not leave the position.
