A person suffering from a vision loss is not able to recognize any person in the surrounding environment leading to hurdles and obstructions in life. A survey revealed that the people suffering from the vision impairments are unsatisfied in their life and are unhappy as they are not able to enjoy and see other family members. There is a serious reduction in the amount of activities that can be performed by these people along with a dissatisfied mental state and lack of self care by the affected eye-sight people. In the old age there are chances of delayed recovery if they encounter an accident and the chances of the occurrence of the accidents are less as the old people have restricted and less activity. Patients suffering from visual impairments face conditions of depression and anxiety. Work enjoyment gets reduced with a sad mental attitude and feelings towards life. People with visual impairment are more prone to suicidal tendencies. The academic performance and skill gets reduced along with a decrease in the cognitive precision due to the impairment in the eye. It leads to a worthless, futile and a dejected feeling in life. There is a "common cause theory" that explains the role of the different regions of the brain involved in the person suffering from visual impairments. The reading ability gets reduced due to the lack of the ability to perceive a stimulus object in the surroundings. If I am suffering from a visual impairment then I will opt for a supportive care therapy for reducing stress,anxiety and depression. There are conditions of macular degeneration leading to the loss of vision or a damaging of the retina as a result of an accident.
