When we consider motivation as a function, we can say that it allows us the ability to understand that motivation is a factor of a number of different actions, consequences, and interaction an individual has with their surrounding, allowing them the ability to make better use of their understanding of the situation to come up with the best possible solution to their problems. We can say that it allows us the ability to make the best possible use of our skills, understand our needs, make better gaol and therefore work towards achieving a common outcome, especially when we consider an organization setting.
The contemporary theory of motivation makes use of this understanding in order to explain motivation as a factor that allows an organization to create the necessary aspect of performance in their workforce allowing both their employees to recognize their potential at the same time have increased productivity when we need to consider their functioning in the company.
We can say that theories such as goal theory, makes the easiest
form of understanding possible for us. We can say that when we have
a goal that we want to achieve and we end up achieving, it allows
us the ability to make use of our process of the achievement as a
form of understanding of the factor of motivation. While the goal
theory as well as equity theory which is based on an individual’s
aspect of performance and motivation in relation to their
recognition and eeper9me, organizations tend to make use of
expectancy theory more, since it creates the understanding that
rationality is the functioning of human thinking and it allows an
individual the increased understanding of their function processes
as well as their actions in relation to an expected outcome and how
they can possibly reach it. The organization creates the required
set of expected outcome and the factor of motivation is ingrained
in the individuals that try to make use of their notation as a tool
to fuel their performance, in the end, creating an increased
adherence to a form of information which can best be described as
being beneficial for both the organization and the individual
