Acetic acid is present in less quantity and is solute

water is present in more quantity and is solvent

100 mL of water and 5.0 g of sugar

sugar is present in less quantity and is solute

water is present in more quantity and is solvent

umber of moles of H2SO4 = mass/mol.wt.= 2.355 g/(98.08 g/mol) = 0.024011 mol

Volume of the solution = 50.0 mL = 0.050 L

Molarity of the solution = moles/volume = 0.024011 mol/0.05 L = 0.4802 M

5 % of glucose solution is isotonic with red blood cells

0.9% of NaCl solution is isotonic with red blood cells

10% glucose solution is hypertonic with red blood cells. So, water moves from cell to glucose solution and thus cell Shrinks
