- Where else within the US has experienced earthquakes?
Thank you ;)
In the USA, most earthquakes take place in California and Alaska.
California is at a great risk of an earthquake because it rests on a transform fault type plate boundary where the horizontal movement between two plates can cause earthquake anytime.
Apart from the aforementioned states earthquakes in the United states have been reported from Idaho, Washington, Hawaii and Nevada.

I'm currently working on a problem and I'm stuck at this step --> I need to get Q to equal 504 from this equation, 0.45V = 0.53V - 0.0592/2 logQ No matter what I try I can't seem to get Q=504 as an answer for that. Please help and explain how you got it! Thank you!! ..I know the first step would be to -0.53 from both sides which gives me -0.08= -0.0592/2 logQ but then I don't know what...

Hi, I need help with this question, I'm struggling to find the pH and the two equivalence points. thank you! A 10.00mL sample of 0.1000M an acid (pK a1 = 2.89; PK 22 = 5.51) was titated with 0.1526M NaOH. Sketch the graph of pH versus V NaOH for the titration of this acid through the addition of 25.00mL of NaOH. (3 points) Indicate the numerical pH values for the initial (i.e. before addition of NaOH), half-equivalence, and equivalence points;...

help! Im trying to study for an exam and I need help solving this? if possible can you please explain steps? thank you! 1. Determine whether the stress function = ax2 - bxy - cy (a, b and c are constants) satisfies the conditions of compatibility for a two-dimensional problem. Obtain the stress distribution in the matrix (tensor) form. Also draw a [35 points sketch showing the boundary stresses on a plate 1. Determine whether the stress function = ax2...
Hi, Experts. I need help in this question. ======================== A balloonist is preparing to make a trip in a helium-filled balloon. The trip begins in the early morning when the temperature is 15 ̊C. By midafternoon, the temperature has increased to 30 ̊C. detail calculations in questions below. Assuming the pressure remains constant at 1.00 bar, for each mole of helium, calculate: (a) the initial and final volumes (b) the change in internal energy, ∆E [Hint: Helium behaves like an...
